After designing the full identity system for four independent pharmacies, I was commissioned to create a master brand for the group: FamilieApotheek.
The challenge was to build an umbrella identity without introducing new symbols, colors, or visual noise. The existing cross and typographic foundation (Duplet Rounded Semibold) were preserved, ensuring full continuity with the original system.
The project focused on structure and hierarchy:
– A standalone master logo
– A subtle endorsement version for individual pharmacies
– Horizontal and stacked variations optimized for real-world use
All lettering was manually refined for optical balance and consistency, creating a scalable brand architecture prepared for future growth.
A restrained, system-driven solution that strengthens identity through clarity rather than reinvention.")

I developed the logo and visual identity system with a clear objective: to balance their 30-year legacy with a modern street-food aesthetic that is functional and free of unnecessary noise.
Design with Purpose
The system was engineered to perform under the high-volume demands of takeaway and delivery.
Identity: A bold, legible logo that serves as a seal of trust and quality.
Functionality: Applications optimized for various paper formats—wraps, sleeves, and bags—ensuring visual consistency and production efficiency.
Real-world Use: Focus on material behavior and clarity, ensuring the brand remains recognizable from the counter to the customer's home.
The result is a sincere, scalable brand that prioritizes the user experience and quality, stripping away the superfluous to focus on what matters.")

Along with the diagonal crossbar in the letter e, these refinements add rhythm, movement, and a distinctive character, while preserving legibility and long-term durability.
The art direction supports the identity with a sophisticated and contemporary atmosphere, helping to project a clear brand vision that is flexible and ready to evolve across physical and digital environments.")

While a familiar symbol, it is resolved through a distinctive typographic approach, integrated into the letterforms rather than treated as illustration.
The result is a tactile, stampable mark designed to feel pressed, imperfect, and human, while remaining clear, scalable, and versatile across physical and digital applications.")
